Currently at Clairefontaine for the French national team's gathering, Youssouf Fofana attended a press conference. During this event, the AS Monaco player faced questions about the transfer market and a rumored interest from PSG.

After four seasons with AS Monaco and earning his status as a French international since his arrival, Youssouf Fofana is entering the final year of his contract.

In this context, after discussions with his club's management and according to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is expected to seek a new challenge to advance his career, ensuring that the Principality club is not left empty-handed with a free departure in June 2025.

L'Equipe reports that PSG is among the clubs that have already held discussions with the player's entourage, though concrete negotiations have not yet begun.

While with the French national team, Youssouf Fofana attended a press conference on Thursday and naturally faced questions about his future, which could potentially be in Paris.

French national team star responds to PSG interest

"It's a big French club that is already a major European club. There's no cup yet. Do I see myself there? Not necessarily, I don't fixate on it. If it happens, why not; if it doesn't, I won't lose sleep over it," he said.

"I have one year left on my contract. My future, I have discussed with the management, it’s no secret. We have an agreement to move towards this new step. If it doesn't happen, I will do this last season at Monaco. I hope everyone will be satisfied this summer. I'm not thinking about it currently, I have a great sports entourage handling that. It's not my job; I will focus on what I know how to do, the field."
