Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has been in scintillating form for the Spanish national team, drawing significant attention from some of Spain's most prestigious football clubs. Following a series of standout performances at UEFA Euro 2024, Ruiz has continued to impress in the UEFA Nations League.
Ruiz’s recent display against Switzerland at Stade de Geneve was nothing short of exceptional. The 28-year-old midfielder scored twice, with his goals coming in the 13th and 77th minutes, contributing significantly to Spain's victory. His performances have been a beacon of consistency and skill, showcasing his ability to make an impact on the big stage.
Despite his international success, Ruiz has yet to secure a regular starting spot at PSG. This has led to increased speculation about his future, with two of Spain's biggest clubs reportedly showing keen interest.
According to Sport, FC Barcelona is considering a move for Ruiz and might propose a swap deal involving Frenkie de Jong to PSG.

In addition to Barcelona's interest, Real Madrid is also thought to be monitoring Ruiz’s situation closely. Eduardo Inda from OK Diario has revealed that Ruiz has a longstanding admiration for Real Madrid.
Inda mentioned that the club holds Ruiz in high regard and that the player would be interested in making a move to the Spanish capital. Ruiz’s desire to leave PSG, stemming from an apparent discord with the current manager, has further fueled speculation about his potential departure.
As we’ve mentioned before, it is still premature to say that Fabian will be leaving PSG. However, it is evident that for many players, especially the Spaniards, it is very difficult to remain indifferent to the interest of FC Barcelona or Real Madrid. It is certainly something that will resurface in January or next summer in 2025. For now, we must wait.
