Could PSG sign Real Madrid defender Rafa Marin for free?
According to the latest reports from multiple media outlets, PSG could be planning the signing of Real Madrid youngster Rafa Marin after failing to convince Milan Skriniar to join the Parisian club.
Both Le10Sport, Relevo, and Onze Mondial have published different reports linking PSG and Real Madrid defender Rafa Marin in the last few hours. Rafa Marin, who has not debuted with Real Madrid's first team yet, will become a free agent in the summer of 2023.
According to Dan Marciano from Le10Sport, PSG could be aiming at "hurting Real Madrid" after the soap opera they generated by chasing Kylian Mbappe last summer. That would happen if PSG end up signing a Real Madrid player instead of the other way around, which could have happened with Mbappe joining Real.
Marciano wrote that PSG "would seek to get their hands" on a "young nugget" from Real Madrid. He proceeds to hand a particular name in that of central defender Rafa Marin, who is still playing for Real Madrid Castilla and has not been called up by Carlo Ancelotti.
"A few weeks ago," Marciano notes, "Marca announced that PSG are following a prospect from Real Madrid." Relevo echoed those reports on Saturday, pretty much confirming them.

"Marin's agents keep receiving offers from different clubs," writes Jorge Picon from Relevo, adding that "some of them are in the Champions League."
Julien Pedebos, writing for Onze Mondial, says that "Luis Campos, PSG's sporting director, has decided to seriously keep track of [Rafa Marin]."
An important part of this saga is the fact that 20-year-old Marin's deal with Real Madrid will run out next June. He will become a free agent next summer, with "PSG and also Chelsea," according to Picon, closely following the young prospect from the Spanish capital.
Marin has played 1,260 minutes for Real Madrid Castilla this season missing only one game because of some nagging issues. Other than that, he's started all games he's appeared in this season while playing the full 90 minutes in each one of those. He's also scored two goals so far this year.
According to Picon, "there has been no contact between [Rafa Marin] and [Real Madrid] yet to discuss a contract extension." Picon goes on to write that "the player's entourage has grown disenchanted (with the situation)," which could lead to the young defender leaving Real Madrid.
PSG could land an extraordinary prospect to bolster their defensive line for free this summer from Real Madrid of all clubs, and on a free on top of it. Quite the cup for Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luis Campos if they end up pulling this savvy move off.
