The coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Christophe Galtier, praised Kylian Mbappe as the "best striker" in the current football landscape.
Mbappe was the main star in the PSG victory 3-0 in Ligue 1 over Olympique Marseille on the 25th matchday of the season. The striker tied Edinson Cavani's record as the top scorer in the history of PSG with 200 goals, scoring a couple of goals at Stade Velodrome on Sunday.
Kylian accompanied Lionel Messi in the PSG attack in the 3-5-2 system presented by Galtier against Marseille. After seeing Mbappe shine on Sunday, Galtier believes that the French striker is "certainly" the best in the world in his position.
Christophe Galtier: "Kylian Mbappe is certainly the best striker in the world"
"He simply matched a great record, for what Edinson (Cavani) represents, who was a great PSG striker", Galtier said during his press conference after the game. "We all assume that Kylian will beat this record, and he is certainly the best striker in the world."
“Mbappe is fast and does everything quickly, with a lot of quickness. He knows how to be decisive in the big matches, which is also a sign of great players”, concluded the coach.
The France world champion attacker now scored 29 goals in all competitions at PSG this season. Now, he will focus his attention on the game to be played at the Parc des Princes next weekend against Nantes on Ligue 1's MD26.
