Paris Saint-Germain announced on their social medial channels early on Thursday the absence of manager Christophe Galtier from the scheduled training session at the Camp des Loges. The PSG gaffer is suffering from flu-like symptoms and will rest today.

The absence of Galtier won't impact the scheduled training exercises, though, as PSG's Thierry Oleksiak and Joao Sacramento, as stated by the club, will take charge of the session at the Camp des Loges on Thursday.

There are only three days separating this training day from the clash at Marseille against OM at the Velodrome next Sunday evening, though, so Galtier is now facing a race to recover and make it to the touchline of his former club in the final Classique of the season, part of the 25th matchday of the Ligue 1 campaign.

The last time both teams met, earlier this month on Feb. 8 as part of the Coupe de France Round of 16, Marseille got the better of PSG defeating the Parisian club 2-1 also at the Velodrome.

Marseille sits second in the Ligue 1 with 52 points in 24 games to PSG's 57 points in the same number of matches. The return game ended 1-0 in favor of Paris when it was played at the Parc des Princes back in Oct. 16, 2022 one month before the World Cup break.

Neymar scored the lone PSG goal but he will miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury, although team-captain Marquinhos is expected to return to the lineup after missing last weekend's game against Lille (4-3 victory).
