Bayern snatches Xavi Simons from PSG
By Manuel Meza
Officially a PSG player again as of July 1, 2024, Xavi Simons’ future seems to lie far from the French capital, with Bayern Munich making significant progress in this matter.
After a successful loan spell at RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons officially returned to PSG on Monday, July 1, 2024. However, the future of the 21-year-old attacking midfielder appears to be written away from Paris.
Although the Dutch international is currently focused on Euro 2024 with the Netherlands, his future has been a hot topic for several months. Despite a contract running until 2027 with the Rouge & Bleu, Xavi Simons does not seem to see his future at PSG.

Thus, another departure is being considered during this summer transfer window. As of now, one club has taken the lead in securing the services of the Parisian Titi: Bayern Munich. According to the latest information from Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarian club has already agreed on the most important personal terms with Xavi Simons.
Sporting director Max Eberl is pushing to permanently acquire the 21-year-old player and is working to reach an agreement with PSG and PSV Eindhoven. It’s worth noting that if the sale happens before 2025, a portion of the sum will go to the Dutch club, where Xavi Simons played in 2022-2023 before being bought back by the Rouge & Bleu for €6 million.
Negotiations are ongoing between the different parties, according to the Sky Sport Germany journalist. However, Bayern Munich is also awaiting the final decision of the former Barcelona player, who remains a favorite of RB Leipzig.
