Paris Saint-Germain are currently enjoying a strong spell, with an unbeaten run in Ligue 1, and gearing up for their debut in the new UEFA Champions League season. It’s a great time to review aspects of the squad, such as those players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the current season, in the summer of 2025.

There are not many, and if the headline of the article mentions three players, it’s because only three players have contracts expiring in 2025. PSG fans can be reassured that none of these players are irreplaceable starters, and in fact, a couple of them are currently out on loan.

1. Juan Bernat

Juan Bernat was once one of PSG's top performers, particularly between 2021 and 2022, when he was Thomas Tuchel’s first choice at left-back for the Parisian side. The Spaniard is on a contract worth €2.41 million net per season, leading to several loan spells but never a permanent transfer to another club.

For better or worse, the Spanish defender will leave the French capital for good in the summer of 2025, when his contract expires.

2. Ayman Kari

Ayman Kari is one of the brightest talents to come through PSG’s academy, even today. After his last loan spell at Lorient, he returned and participated in pre-season under Luis Enrique’s guidance. Just when it seemed he would finally break into the first team, it appears the club’s plans changed.

Currently, Kari remains part of the squad but isn't playing. Recent rumours suggest he chose to stay at PSG for financial reasons, aiming to secure a signing bonus when he leaves on a free transfer in 2025.

3. Colin Dagba

Oh, Colin Dagba... One of my favourites. Yup, you read that right. It feels like just yesterday when PSG, dealing with injuries, had to start a then-young Dagba against none other than Bayern Munich. And the funny thing is, he did brilliantly.

I still can’t wrap my head around how a player with so much talent and potential could fall off to the point where he’s barely known in the football world. His contract is set to expire in June 2025, though there are reports suggesting the player has already terminated his deal with the club after what initially seemed to be a loan move to Belgium's Beerschot.

It’s quite reassuring for PSG fans that none of their star players have contracts nearing expiration. That said, keep an eye on Achraf Hakimi, whose deal runs out in 2026 and hasn’t been renewed yet, although there are already rumours of a potential extension.
