The new season is around the corner with clubs around Europe rounding off their pre-season preparations. PSG drew their last two pre-season friendlies against Leipzig (1-1) and SK Sturm Graz (2-2).

PSG are approaching one of the biggest seasons in their history as they will be without their talisman Kylian Mbappe. As a result, the French champions will need players to step up even if they didn't play in his position. Here at PSG Post, we discuss the players who could improve next campaign.

3 PSG players who will make the step up next season

Warren Zaire Emery

The first player on the list could go on to be a generational talent provided he stays clear of injuries. Zaire Emery's performances last season not only earned him his first cap for the French national team but it ensured that he made the final roster for the Euros.

He is just 18 years old so should be managed properly next season to avoid burnout. Not playing in the Olympics was a wise decision as he would have started the season late and went to the Euros with the senior team.

Bradley Barcola

Barcola is another French player who could come on leaps and bounds this upcoming season. During the Euros, he was a bright spark whenever he came on, particularly in the semi-final against Spain where he completed most of his take-on. He could very well improve his output as Mbappe won't be the focal point of the attack. The club needs to put their trust in him as he is truly a talent.

Lucas Beraldo

Brazilian center-back Beraldo joined the French champions in the winter transfer window from Sao Paolo. Considering he has had to adapt to a new continent as well as a new league he has done relatively well so far under the tutelage of Luis Enrique. At just 20 years old he can still learn a lot from his compatriot Marquinhos which in turn will improve him drastically.
