First half offensive struggle

Despite Ousmane Dembele's return to the squad and the starting lineup, Paris Saint-Germain struggled to create offensively in the first half of their game against OGC Nice, only bringing danger on Marcin Bulka's goal from long-range shots.

Les Rouges et Bleus' difficulties to create more offensively, mirrored their game against Arsenal mid-week. Although Paris heavily dominated the ball, their ineffective offence led to numerous counterattack possibilities for Frank Haise's side.

Furthermore, Randal Kolo Muani, who made only his second start of the season for PSG didn't impact the game having trouble getting found by his teammate in good positions.

His substitution at half-time for Kang In Lee brought a different dynamic to the team as the offensive line and the midfield became more connected through his false nine positions during the second half of the game.

These connections also brought more opportunities for Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele on the flanks which meant more crosses for their teammates.
