2 things we learned as PSG suffer the biggest heartbreak of their season
By Edward Otto
PSG needed a convincing win to overturn the 1-0 deficit from the first leg in Germany. Luis Enrique's side ran out of ideas against a well-organized Borussia Dortmund side who ran out 0-1 winners at the Parc Des Princes.
Here at PSG Post, we delve into two things that were worth noting as Les Parisians suffered the biggest heartbreak of their campaign thus far.
PSG were extremely wasteful
The reigning French champions would have gone through had they taken their chances. In the first interval alone Goncalo Ramos dragged a shot wide from outside the box and Dembele skied a shot inside the penalty area.
The second interval was even worse about chances for PSG as they hit the post on two occasions, Goncalo Ramos skied Dembele's cutback over the bar and Mbappe was denied from a tight angle after Hakimi slipped him through.
If they scored the first goal it would force Dortmund to open up which will create a different game entirely.

Borussia Dortmund defended extremely well throughout
The German giants were pegged back throughout the 90 minutes. They did well to withstand the pressure that was put on their goal throughout as they constantly made last-ditch blocks and clearances.
Despite having to defend for the whole match they still had many chances as Luis Enrique's side was wide open at the back. It is no surprise that Borussia Dortmund's goal at the start of the second half came against the run of play.
