Several PSG stars flew out to represent their countries in the October international window for two games with most playing for a spot in the upcoming 2026 World Cup that will take place this summer in Canada, Mexico and USA.

Some missed out on the possibility through injuries such as Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves and Bradley Barcola. Meanwhile, Désiré Doué, Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé are ramping up their recoveries to make their return after their long injuries.

PSG players international duty report:

Portugal 1-0 Ireland

Vitinha and Nuno Mendes started for Portugal as they claimed an important narrow victory over Ireland in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The midfielder played for 60 minutes while Nuno Mendes played for 90 minutes. Additionally, Gonçalo Ramos came off the bench and played the last five minutes of the game. The 2025 UEFA Nations League winners are sitting at the top of the of Group F and could clinch their spot to the World Cup with a win over Hungary on October 14th.

Iceland 3-5 Ukraine

Ukraine came out victorious of a eight goal thriller against Iceland in a crucial game of the World Cup qualifiers. Illia Zabarnyi featured 90 minutes in the victory as his side climbed to the second spot of Group D. They will face Azerbaijan on October 13.

Spain 2-0 Georgia

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia featured 69 minutes for Georgia as they fell to a 2-0 at the hands of Spain in the Qualifiers of the World Cup. They will face Turkey on October 14 in a crucial clash that could end their hope of qualifying for the upcoming World Cup.

USA 1-1 Ecuador

Willian Pacho played all 90 minutes for Ecuador as they secured a draw against USA in a friendly. They will face Mexico in their second friendly on October 15 as they prepare for the World Cup.

France 3-0 Azerbaijan

Lucas Chevalier and Lucas Hernandez stayed on the bench as no PSG players featured for France as they went on to easily defeat Azerbaijan at the Parc des Princes. Les Bleus comfortably sit at the top of their group and could already punch their ticket for the 2026 World Cup with a victory against Iceland on October 13.

Faroe Island U21 0-6 France U21

Warren Zaire-Emery was called-up by the Under 21 to face the Faroe Island in the 2027 Euro qualifiers. The 19-year-old was named captain and featured 63 minutes as France dominated their opponents 6-0.

Korea Republic 0-5 Brazil

Lucas Beraldo remained on the bench as Brazil thrashed Kang-In Lee and the Korea Republic in a friendly. The South Korean featured for 81 minutes in the loss. Both sides are already qulified for the upcoming World Cup this summer with Brazil facing Japan on October 14 in another friendly while South Korea take on Paraguay.

Russia 2-1 Iran

Matvey Safonov played 90 minutes as Russia edged past iran in a friendly. The Russian national team will then face Bolivia in their second friendly of the window.
