The Parisians will face their city rivals Paris FC on Matchday 34 of Ligue 1 McDonald's at the Stade Jean Bouin. In their last match up, the PFC eliminated Luis Enrique's team from the Coupe de France. Since then, Les Rouges et Bleus have secured the Ligue 1 title with a 2-0 away victory against RC Lens, making it five consecutive league title.
For this game, Luis Enrique will have most of his first team players available, with the exception of Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes who are recovering from knocks. Additionally, several players have been rested for this game ahead of the Champions League final against Mikel Arteta's Arsenal on May 30.
This allowed the young prospect Dimitri Lucea to be given his first career start with the club at left-back while Marquinhos partnered Zabarnyi in the heart of the backline. Furthermore, Vitinha, Lucas Beraldo and Fabian Ruiz will compose the midfield trio. The offensive line remain the same with Barcola, Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia.
Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI: Safonov; Marquinhos, Zabarnyi, Dimitri Lucea, Lucas Beraldo; Warren Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Barcola, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.
Paris FC's starting XI: Trapp; Coppola, Otavio, Matondo, Camara; Lees Melou, Chergui, Ikoné, Munetsi, Simon; Guebbels.
PSG fall to city rivals PFC on last Ligue 1 McDonald's game
The first opportunity came from Bradley Barcola after just two minutes, but his strike was easily saved by Kevin Trapp, the former PSG goalkeeper. Shortly after, the hosts answered with a big chance of their own but Matvey Safonov dealt perfectly with the through ball and Guebbels. The Russian was put to the test once again when Lucea gave away the ball and delivered a remarkable save on Simon's effort.
While the first half was far from a thrilling contest between two sides with nothing left to play, the main event of the first 45 minutes was the substitution of Ousmane Dembélé after 27 minutes. Hopefully, the 2026 Ligue 1 Player of the season has not sustained a big injury and the staff subbed him off for precaution as the Champions League final and the World Cup are just around the corner.
At the start of the second half, Bradley Barcola broke the deadlock, scoring his 11th goal of the Ligue 1 campaign (50').
With 15 minutes left, the hosts equalised, thanks to a clever deflection from Gory (76'). After several changes, the French Champions have dropped their intensity level, opening the door for Paris FC's comeback in this game. On the last play of the game, Gory completed the comeback with a brace as PFC claimed their first Ligue 1 win over their city rivals (90+4').
