Luis Enrique's side is gearing up for another tough league game when they play Lille at the Decathlon Arena. Despite the loss of Ayyoub Bouaddi, Les Parisiens should not underestimate a team that finished third in the league last season.
PSG will want to record their first league win of the season following their 2-2 draw last week against Stade Rennais, whereas Lille will want to build on last week's 0-2 win away to Angers. The point is not the end of the world for the European champions, as Rennes showed last season they are a capable side.
It was always going to be difficult to have a flawless start to the season, as several players won't be up to match speed due to arriving late to training following their country's exploits at the World Cup. The club only played two preseason games prior to the UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa, which was never going to help fitness levels. It also doesn't help that they were given a tough schedule to start the Ligue 1 season. The league season is always a marathon, not a sprint, so PSG's results around January and February are what matter.
Here is our preview of PSG's second league game of the season away to Lille.
