With the Ligue 1 campaign ending with a loss to city rivals Paris FC last Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain can now focus on their upcoming Champions League final against Arsenal set to take place in 10 days, on May 30.

Before this crucial game, however, Luis Enrique's team still worry about two of their key players who are making their way back to the squad after injuries: Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé. The Moroccan sustained an injury in the first-leg against Bayern Munich while the 2026 Ligue 1 Player of the year was subbed off after just 27 minutes due to a physical alert. After the game against PFC, Luis Enrique downplayed any fears over a serious injury: "What we’re saying today is just speculation, but I don’t think it’s anything serious, and there are still two weeks left.”

Both players did not take part in today's collective training session, though, most people at the club are not concerned about their presence in the starting lineup for the final. Meanwhile, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho both made their return to training after missing the last three games of the team.

Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi should be back in time for the Champions League final

Both Hakimi and Dembélé are not only key players for the Paris Saint-Germain, but also for their respective national teams. They could therefore look to avoid any risks ahead of the World Cup set to start in less than a month, even despite the prospect of playing and possibliy winning a second consecutive Champions League final.

Earlier today, the 2025 Ballon d'Or sat with RMC Sports and try to reassure everyone about his injury: "I'm doing well. I had a small scare against Paris FC, but I'm fine and I'll be ready for the final. Being at 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, it'll be fine. I have no doubts about that, and I hope to be on the pitch on May 30.

" I've had so many small scares or major injuries throughout my career, whether here at Paris Saint-Germain or even before, especially with big occasions coming up. With a final like this, I preffered to stop and, above all, not take any risks."

Having both Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé present at the start of the final could be the difference for PSG between another historical night or the end of their back-to-back dreams.
