PSG is preparing for a challenging encounter against one of their biggest rivals in Monaco. Les Parisiens should not take their opponents for granted, as they have players such as Paul Pogba, Folarin Balogun, and Maghnes Akliouche who can cause problems.

Sebastien Pocognoli's side, however, has not been in the best of form recently. They have lost their last three league games to Rennes (4-1), Lens (1-4), and Paris FC (0-1). Losing 4-1 away to Rennes is extremely concerning, as they are not one of the teams that are going to compete with PSG for the Ligue 1 title. These recent results have left them eighth in the Ligue 1 table. To add insult to injury, they had drawn 2-2 against Pafos in midweek, which is a disappointing result considering that they play in the Cypriot First Division.

On a more positive note, World Champion Paul Pogba played his first game in 811 days when he came on in the 85th minute in the game against Rennes last week. Contrast this to Luis Enrique's side, who are unsurprisingly top of the Ligue 1 table. The only concern is that they are just 2 points ahead of fierce rivals Marseille. The European champions won a pulsating midweek clash against Tottenham 5-3 at the Parc des Princes. Luis Enrique's side were facing a wounded animal as Spurs were coming off the back of a 4-1 thrashing away to Arsenal at the Emirates. Here is our preview of Monaco vs PSG in matchday 14 of the Ligue 1 season.
