The 2026-2027 season is officially underway for PSG who already played two important games against Aston Villa and RC Lens. This campaign will be incredibly important for the club who will hope to make history once again with a third consecutive Champions League triumph.
Throughout this period, several players will likely play their future at the club who is currently dominating Europe.
Three PSG players that could play their future at the club in the 2026-2027 season
1- Lucas Hernandez
The Frenchman will certainly have a difficult 2026-2027 season in terms of playtime with PSG. With the arrival of his France teammate Lucas Digne, he has lost his spot as the second option at left-back behind Nuno Mendes. While he will likely become an option to replace Willian Pacho as a left-sided centre-back, he will also have to fight for this spot with Lucas Beraldo who could play at this position.
Furthermore, Willian Pacho is one of the most reliable players of this squad. The Ecuadorian very rarely injured and always perform. Whenever, Luis Enrique opts to rotate his squad Pacho is often one of the few starters to start the game. Next to him, PSG captain, Marquinhos is replaced by Illia Zabarnyi when needed which completely cuts the options for Hernandez.
He might therefore spend most of his time on the bench, unless a few players of the squad get injured at his position.
2- Lucas Beraldo
His name has been subject to many speculations in the past but has always remained at the club and managed to improve his status at the club when he became Vitinha's backup in midfield last season. He delivered several good performances and showed that he had a future at this position and that he could be a real option for Luis Enrique.
Hoowever, the Brazilian could wish for more, a bigger role elsewhere and it will be important for him to perform well to keep his position at the club and land a good move in another club next season.
3- Lucas Chevalier
The third and last "Lucas" of this list. Lucas Chevalier joined the club from Lille and was set up to become the first goalkeeping option for PSG for years to come. However, several underwhelming performances with the club led to him losing his spot to Matvey Safonov's profit.
This summer, the club was heavily linked to another goalkeeper, Parma's Zion Suzuki, as Luis Enrique opted to improve his options at this position. For Lucas Chevalier, if he were to live another season on the bench, the France international would have no other options but to leave the club.
