Following their disappointing 3-1 home loss to AS Monaco over the weekend, Paris is gearing up to face Premier League side Chelsea in the first-leg of their Champions League Round of 16. The European Champions will have a lot of things to fix ahead of their game if they are to retain their crown, one of them will be to figure out a way to prevent Liam Rosenior's key stars to shine in their upcoming tie.

Here are the three Chelsea players that PSG and Luis Enrique should look out for ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 clash.

Three Chelsea players PSG should worry about

1- Joao Pedro

The 24-year-old Brazilian is in exceptional form at the moment, recording four goals and an assist in his last two games, including a stellar performance against Aston Villa where he scored a hat-trick. He is Chelsea most in-form offensive player and should be the number one priority for PSG's defence on Wednesday.

The former Brighton player is already up to 18 goals and nine assists this season in 39 games in all competition. He has recently been compared to Haaland, Kane and Mbappé by Liam Rosenior, his coach due to his current level. While this comparison may seem far fetched, Joao Pedro has a huge potential, let's hope for PSG that he doesn't show it in their Champions League tie.

2- Moisés Caicedo

The 24-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder is one of the best at his position in the Premier League and his partnership with World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez is one of the strenght of this team. The midfield battle will be crucial for PSG to win and the likely absence of Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves will only make it harder for Luis Enrique's team.

Caicedo is a strong box-to-box player, able to win a lot of balls in midfield, his upcoming clash with Vitinha will be a must-watch for many fans and observers. His influence on the game will have to be reduced as much as possible if Paris hope to qualify for the next round of the competition.

3- Cole Palmer

The England international has been one of the best players of this squad, unfortunately he has had to deal with many injuries this season. The 23-year-old has nonetheless been able to score nine goals in 18 appearances in the Premier League.

He remains a constant threat for the opponents and many PSG fans will undoubtedly remember his superb performance against Ousmane Dembélé & co. in the Club World Cup final where he dazzled with a brace, lifting the Blues to a 3-0 victory.
