After their qualification for the semi-finals of the Champions League, Paris fell at home against Lyon with a much changed starting lineup. The game was the perfect opportunity for some to have an impact, while Fabian Ruiz made his return after a long absence filled with uncertainties.

Here are two positives and two negatives following Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 home defeat against Lyon.

Positives and one negatives as PSG fall against Lyon

Positive #1: Kvaratskhelia is on fire

The Georgian star is simply the best offensive player of his team at the moment. He played a crucial role in their Champions League tie against Liverpool and completely changed the flow of the game against Lyon this weekend and scored a wonderful goal.

He made his team far more dangerous than they were in this game, hopefully, he will be able to carry this run of form into the semi-finals against Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich.

Positive #2: Fabian Ruiz is finally back

After more than three months on the sideline, Fabian Ruiz made his return to action against Lyon. Unfortunately, his comeback did not prevent his side from losing to the Gones. However, he makes his return at the best moment, just in time to face Harry Kane and his teammates in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Obviously, he will not be able to start right away in games of this magnitude, but his talent and experience could prove crucial for his team, even coming off the bench.

Negative #1: Worries over Vitinha's injury

While losing a league game is always worrying for any team, the most worrisome news against Lyon was undoubtedly Vitinha's ankle injury. The Portuguese had to leave the pitch just before the halftime break following an awkward landing. The former Porto player has been the most important player of his team this season and with the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich looming, it is vital that all key PSG players managed to stay off the injury list.

Nuno Mendes already sustained a knock to his thigh in the second-leg against Liverpool and adding Vitinha to the list could be the difference between bowing out of the competition or not. The latest reports suggest that the 26-year-old will miss the game against Nantes on Wednesday. However, nothing his confirm regarding his participation against Bayern Munich.

Negative #2: PSG kept Lens in the title race

The loss to Lyon left RC Lens one point behind Paris in the Ligue 1 standings. While Luis Enrique and his team still have a game in hand left to play against Nnates before facing Lens, they put themselves in danger and will need to remain focus in the last games of the season.
