PSG secured an impressive 2-1 victory against FC Barcelona on Matchday 2 of the Champions League. Senny Mayulu drew both sides level just before halftime before Gonçalo Ramos sealed Paris' win with a late goal. Les Parisiens who faced Barcelona without numerous key players showed once again why they are European Champions.

Here are the tops and flops from Paris' impressive away win against Barcelona.

Top and flop from PSG's Champions League win against Barcelona

The tops:

Achraf Hakimi

A reflection of PSG's performance as a whole. Often looked lost in the early exchanges, but grew into the game, and was arguably the best player on the pitch in the second half. A decent free kick forced a good save from Szczęsny, and Hakimi was always willing to be an outlet, making endless dangerous runs in the second period specifically. He, of course, created Ramos's late winner with an neat pass that was timed to perfection. He also made a great block from Olmo to stop Barca retaking the lead early in the second period. A real leader's performance, strong in attack and in defense. Confirmed himself as the best right back in the world.

Illia Zabarnyi

Another really impressive performance. The biggest compliment one can give Zabarnyi today is that Marquinhos was not missed at all. A brilliant block from Torres in the first period set the tone for a strong display. Both defensively solid, and precise and brave with his passing: could be a starmaking display. An excellent duel where he neutralized Rashford 1v1 in the second period typified his performance.

William Pacho

Pacho is not spoken about enough in conversations about the best centre-halves in the world. Consistently excellent since his signing for PSG, tonight was another brilliant performance for the Ecuadorian defender, who stepped out of defense bravely and at the right times to aggressively interfere with Barcelona's passing. A really disruptive and effective performance, that is becoming typical of PSG's young defender. He has also been great in Ligue Un, but his level seems to rise one more level on the big Champions League nights against the strongest opponents.

Nuno Mendes

A brilliant attacking display from arguably the best fullback in the world: Mendes almost single-handedly shifted the momentum of the game in the first half at a point where the game looked as though it was getting away from Paris. His strong running with the ball dragged PSG up the pitch and eventually created the equaliser. His defensive work was more mixed, with a strong early challenge on Yamal followed by a difficult period in which the winger beat him a few times, with Mendes arguably lucky not to be sent off for a second yellow card. He was eventually moved to left wing by Enrique to avoid having to defend against the tricky winger.

Vitinha

As for a number of Parisian players, it was a game of two halves: Vitinha looked marooned and out of his depth in the first period, giving the ball away sloppily for Barca's opener. He improved massively in the second period, managing to control the tempo as PSG wrestled back possession and managed to ring fence Barca's box with their high press. Covered well at Full-Back against Yamal at times. Looked the most assured midfielder on the pitch, while up against Pedri and De Jong.

Fabian Ruiz

Ruiz's marauding runs forwards are an important part of PSG's system, as he represents a much needed extra body in attack. His silky link up was on display today, and he put in a good shift for the Parisians, who will hope that his name won't be added to the ever growing list of injuries for Luis Enrique's squad, after he limped off for Gonçalo Ramos on the 70th minute.

Senny Mayulu

A really confident display from the youngster who didn't seem phased at all by the Champions League occasion. He took his goal extremely well, and was a thorn in Barca's side all night long, making dangerous darting runs and seeing a strong effort well blocked in the first half. Promising performance.

Ibrahim Mbaye

A surprise inclusion in the starting line up ahead of Gonçalo Ramos, Mbaye justified his selection through excellent work rate and some great play on the ball. One poor execution that ruined a first half attack was soon forgotten as he improved in the second half, becoming a problem for Barca full back Jules Kounde with his sharp turns and accelerations. A baptism of fire that went very well for Mbaye - he and Mayulu both will have gained Enrique's trust tonight.

Luis Enrique

A really, really, good night for Enrique. To win away at Barcelona, while dominating the game, with such an injury ravaged squad really bodes well for PSG's prospects of retaining the trophy, especially once some key attackers return to full fitness. A mature and tactically astute performance. Enrique will be delighted with tonight's result. He also made the substitutions at the right time, with Hernandez locking up the Right hand side, Kang In Lee hitting the post with a fierce strike and, of course, Gonçalo Ramos scoring the winning goal.

The Flops

Bradley Barcola

Only one real disappointment tonight in the Champions League for PSG, and that was the performance of Bradley Barcola, who once again did everything right except the finishing touches. His woeful finishing has long been a source of frustration for the Parisian fans, especially considering his fantastic all round game and ability to create chances for himself. The way he took his 1v1 in the first half was amateurish, and he blasted another serviceable chance over minutes later. Indeed, he was eventually replaced by youngster Ndjantou. PSG will expect and demand more from the man who was effectively their most senior attacker tonight.
