After a historical 2024-2025 campaign that have seen the club lift their first Champions League trophy, Luis Enrique and his side are now preparing to defend their European crown and cement their place among the greatest teams in the history of the competition.
To do so, however, they will need to battle their way back to the top, starting from the group stage. Ahead of the draw, PSG features in Pot 1 and will face two teams from each pots, without the possibility to face any of the two other French clubs (Olympique de Marseille & AS Monaco) in the group stage. Additionally, Paris will also only be able to face two teams from the same country throughout the League phase.

Overall, the title holders will have a tough path in the League phase as they are set to face several top European teams, as the match-ups against Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona will be very challenging for Luis Enrique and his players. Additionally, while remaining favourites of most of the upcoming clashes, the Spurs, Sporting Lisbon and Athletic Bilbao are very experienced in European competitions and could be dangerous adversaries.
While Paris Saint-Germain now know the team they will face in the opening stage of the competition, the schedule of the Champions League league phase will be delivered by the UEFA on Saturday, August 30. The European Champions will then learn in which order they will play their eight games.
