It wasn't to be for Paris Saint-Germain in Munich. Here are some lessons learned from the Bayern Munich defeat.

PSG suffered another defeat in the Champions League on Tuesday night when they came unstuck against Bayern Munich.

This defeat has left the chances of them qualifying for the next round of the tournament in tatters. The Bavarians just edged it on the day but the French champions didn't give a bad account of themselves. Here at PSG Post we discuss what stood out when Luis Enrique's side came to Munich.

The French champions weren't in control

The Bavarians deserved the win on the day. Not only did the Bavarians have more possession but they had more chances. Vincent Kompany's side also had more shots on target and could easily have more by a larger deficit then 1-0.

In just the sixth minute Jamal Musiala took a touch with his chest before his volley was saved by Matvei Safonov.

Coman should have scored before Kim Min Jae headed home from a corner in the first half. In the second half Musiala and Coman had opportunities to increase Bayern's lead.

Kingsley Coman had a eventful game against his former club

Coman had chances against his former club. In the 27th minute the 28 year old dribbled past Achraf Hakimi, squeezed past Zaire Emery and Joao Neves before having a wayward shot.

10 minutes later, he raced through on goal but Hakimi managed to keep up with him and put the winger off when the Frenchman looked set to score.

If the Frenchman had end product he would have scored atleast twice against the French champions. The effort he showed against Les Parisens is unsurprising as he was always going to be determined to show that PSG were not justified in selling him.
