Italian U19 goalkeeper Renato Marin officially joined PSG from AS Roma on a free transfer, becoming the 10th shot-stopper to sign for the club since the QSI takeover in 2011.

In that span, the club signed some very talented keepers that played important roles leading to the culmination that was the 2024-2025 campaign, starting with the arrival of Salvatore Sirigu in 2011 as the first shot-stopper of the QSI era.

5. Gianluigi Buffon

Though the Italian legend was not at his prime when he joined the club in 2018-2019 and played only one season for the club, featuring in just 25 games for the club, his impact off the pitch was unmeasurable.

He brought all his experience and class to the club and teammates, helping the club to grow further at the time while he delivered several top performances in the Champions League with the team.

4. Alphonse Areola

Coming through PSG's Academy, Alphonse Areola earned several successful loan spells in France and Spain before getting a chance to shine with PSG's first team in 2016 where he was put in competition with Kevin Trapp and Gianluigi Buffon across three seasons.

Though, his time with the first team was not made easy due to the constant competition he was subjected to in the team, his overall performances were still impactful in league to lift multiple Ligue 1 trophies with the club. However, he definitively left the club in 2022-2023 for Premier League side West Ham United, having played over 107 games with PSG.

Many PSG fans will remember of Salvatore Sirigu fondly. Though he was not their most talented keeper, he was the first one to joined the project led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi back in 2011. Looking back, he played the role of a pioneer, while participating to the early successes of the team.

After successive loan spells in Spain, he definitely left the club in 2017 after playing over 190 games across six seasons with PSG.

2. Keylor Navas

Undoubtedly one of the most appreciated goalkeeper of the team since 2011, Keylor Navas delivered almost instantly top-level performances with PSG when he joined in 2019-2020. The player who joined from Real Madrid played a major role as Paris reached the Champions League final for the first time of their history. Even though, the club ended up falling 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the final of the competition, he will always be remembered for his incredible performances for the club.

The Costa Rica international then eventually lost his starting role to Gianluigi Donnarumma in 2021 and left the club after the 2023-2024 season after 114 appearances with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Italian goalkeeper who joined Paris from AC Milan on a free transfer back in 2021 had a rocky start with the team, having a fierce competition at first with Keylor Navas. However, the then 22-year-old prevailed and became PSG's number one option at the goalkeeper position.

Nonetheless, he was still heavily criticised by observers and fans following several costly mistakes in the Champions League, with the most memorable happening against Real Madrid in 2022. Despite all of that, the Italy international turned a new leaf under Luis Enrique becoming one of the most decisive shot-stopper in Europe, helping the club to their first Champions League title in a treble winning campaign in 2024-2025.
