Paris Saint-Germain's 2024-2025 campaign will undoubtedly be remembered as their best season ever in their history. Under Luis Enrique, the Parisians not only played a wonderful brand of football but also won a treble, including the Champions League, a trophy heavily desired by QSI since taking over the club in 2011.
Throughout this incredible campaign, the Spanish coach helped numerous players to reach their full potential, with some becoming the best at their respective positions in Europe. From the players that seen their performances reach new height, two are now favourite to win the Ballon d'Or, the most famous individual awards in football, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha.
Though Dembélé has been the most favoured PSG players to win the award after their historical campaign, in recent weeks Vitinha has seen his stock rise exponentially, even seeing his name at the top of some mock rankings.

Here at PSG Post we discuss whether or not Vitinha should be the Ballon d'Or winner as the best PSG player this season.
Should Vitinha be PSG's frontrunner for the 2025 Ballon d'Or?
Paris Saint-Germain and Luis Enrique built their success on an almost perfect collective system, where is players needed to control the ball while putting a lot of off-ball movement, then they would put an incredible pressure on the opposing side whenever they lost the ball. This perfectly crafted system led them to new height and at the heart of it all, Vitinha was there.
The Portuguese international was the one dictating the pace and at the start of many of PSG's goalscoring opportunities even though his statistics do not always show for it (8 goals & four assists across 55 games this season).
Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembélé had the best season of his career so far, becoming a lethal finisher in front of goals, something that was missing from his game. The Frenchman was one, if the main favourite to win the Ballon d'Or after a remarkable season where he led his team to success. His new role as a number 9 implemented by Luis Enrique was the change that made a massive difference in Paris' season.
However, despite all of that, Vitinha was also a key player fpr his national team and lifted the UEFA Nations League trophy with his country alongside his PSG teammates, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes and Gonçalo Ramos, which certainly makes a big difference for the attribution of the Ballon d'or for the voters.
Unfortunately, while France was not performing at their best, Dembélé himself struggled to make any significant impact for them and even injured himself as they crashed out of the Nations League Final 4 against Spain and Lamine Yamal.
Therefore, as many other PSG players such as Achraf Hakimi or Nuno Mendes, Vitinha have a strong case for the Ballon d'Or and is like Ousmane Dembélé one of the frontrunners to win it.
