PSG vs Stade de Reims: Luis Enrique & Marquinhos Pre-Match Press Conference

Paris Saint-Germain ended the Ligue 1 season on a high note after their 3-1 victory over Auxerre at the Parc des Princes, before celebarting their league title in front of their fans. Now, Luis Enrique and his team will have to play two important finals, starting with the Coupe de France against Reims at the Stade de France, the last domestic title of the season as the club dreams of the first treble in the history of the league.

The French champions are set to face Reims, a side currently involved in the Ligue 1 Play-offs against Metz as they aim to keep their spot in the elite of French football next season.

Q: On if he is in the best moment of his career

Marquinhos: " I have felt that I have performed very well this season with my age and my experience of what I have done at this club. I am delighted to be here and part of this team. Of course, we have still go two finals ahead of us that we want to win to culminate the great work that we have done this season, and if we win these two trophies, it would be the perfect end to the season, and the reward for all of the hard work that we have put in."

Q: On his future at the club

Marquinhos: " With the journey that I have been on at PSG, I have seen so many great stars and players at the top of their game who have been asked this questions. The most important is what I feel, what my coach feels, what the club feels for my future.

"Like I said this season and the last, I play every game as if it was the last. I have been thinking like this for a few years now, and I think it is the best way to approach our profession our sport, because football evolves quickly. I saw players leaving that didn't even know that they played their last game, others who knew and I cannot know when my time could come.

"The board, the coach and I have a good relationship, it is because they are happy with my work so far, we cannot predict the future. It is why I give 100% at every game, to prove to myself, first, then to my family and then to the coaching staff. It is so that I can prove my worth and what I can still bring to the club, and I have so much love and admiration for the club.

"I will give my maximum at every game and after if they think that it is not the moment for me here anymore and it will happen at some point. But there will always be love and admiration between us, beacuse after all the years that I spent here, I always gave my all, even if it wasn't always great. But I believe I still have a lot to offer to this team."

Q: On if Luis Enrique is the biggest biggest strength of this squad

Marquinhos: " Of course. If it is not main strength of this team it is at least one of them. I think it is a complete teamwork from when he arrived. I slowly incorporated his DNA, improving us. I started by putting his ideas in motion and little by little he was able to improve our game, improve our defence, our attack and he is providing more and more alternatives to prepare us to face any type of opponents with all the possible scenario of a game.

"That is why I think the team is like that today. It's a lot of work he put in, that is why Bradley said this. If the team attack in a certain way we will know how to defend against it and if they change, we will be prepared too. He also helped us mentally, he played an important role in the motivation and preparation. With the attitude as well, not just in-game but also throughout the week.

"He is not just a coach that gave directives, he also showed us the way to reach this level, not just talking about football. He was very demanding regarding the mental, the physical and attitude on the pitch. And that's why he is a world class coach and we can see it on the pitch."

Q: On the idea to make history with winning a treble with PSG

Luis Enrique: " Before getting ahead of ourselves, we need to try to make history. If we look at the last 10 days of the season, we know there is the Club World Cup afterwards. Since day one, our target has been to be involved in positions where we can win trophies, and now the most difficult part is to put the cherry on the cake. That is what we have been working towards as a team all year, and we are fully motivated."
