Press Conference Transcript:
Q: On if there is less negative pressure around the club to win the Champions League
Marquinhos: " Yes, the club is understanding more and more the club is growing, in the way to approach the situation. There is the new training centre, the new personnel. There was a massive amount of work from the club to keep improving. There is also the collective work amongst all of the staff and the board which has ensured that we are nearing the best possible conditions.
"We have an exceptional coach who has prepared us to be here. Even though we are a very young team, we are ready for this sort of match. It is a mix of things that have got us to this point in the best conditions. The club has grown. We have an incredible coach. The board has done a brilliant job, bringing in quality players. I think it is why we are here today."
Q: On what it means to be in the Champions League final
Ousmane Dembélé: " As I said before, there is a lot of pride to have reached the final. We worked really hard and it hasn't been easy, most specifically at the beginning of the competition. However, we have been able to turn it around in the second half of the season and it is exceptional to be here, in Munich to play a Champions League final. It is just pure happiness as you never know if you'll be able to live moments like that again. So you have to take it with a lot of seriousness and joy."
Q: On his relationship with the players
Luis Enrique: " The connection has been the same since day one. Maybe you haven't seen it, but I have my way of being, and it is always the same. Some may like it more or less, but I have always been the same. I don't expect different versions because we have won more, but I insist on the fact that I am the same since day one, since last season, I have had an exceptional team with top-level players. I have always tried to look at the positive, and of course, I have tried to help them improve collectively and individually, but I haven't changed anything."
