PSG has a last-16 encounter against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in the Club World Cup. It's is hard to gauge how seriously the players will take the game as they are coming back from a long season which included the treble.

This is a huge achievement, as not many clubs in Europe can claim to have won the treble. They are facing an Inter Miami team that managed to take points from Porto in the group stage. The American club also has a few familiar faces, such as Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suarez.

Luis Enrique's side should not take their opponents lightly, as this tournament has proved that anyone can beat anyone. It will be interesting to see how Lionel Messi does against his former side considering he didn't enjoy his time at the club.

Here's our preview of PSG vs Inter Miami in the Club World Cup.

PSG team news:

The French champions may still be without Ousmane Dembele after he picked up a hamstring injury on the international break with France. The best-case scenario for him is a place on the bench. Aside from Dembele, there are no injury issues for the European champions.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:  Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Kvaratskhelia, Ramos, Doue

Inter Miami team news:

Inter Miami is not as fortunate on the injury front. They will be without injured goalkeeper Drake Callender alongside Gonzalo Lujan and Yannick Bright. Oscar Ustari will replace Callender in goal. The only question is whether Jordi Alba will start ahead of Noah Allen in the left-back position. Alba is fit again, but it will be a big ask to come into a game against this caliber of opposition.

Inter Miami's possible starting lineup: Ustari; Weigandt, Aviles, Falcon, Allen; Allende, Redondo, Busquets, Segovia; Messi, Suarez.

Prediction: PSG 2-0 Inter Miami

It is hard to look past anything other than a win for Les Parisiens if they play to the best of their ability. Inter Miami did well to take points off Porto in the group stage of the tournament, but this PSG side is a different proposition entirely.
