Paris Saint-Germain is set to take on Brazilian side Flamengo in the Intercontinental Cup final, which will take place in Qatar at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium. Ahead of this game, Paris ended the year in Ligue 1 on a high note with a narrow 3-2 win over bottom of the league FC Metz. The Parisians are still sitting at the second spot of the league, one point behind Pierre Sage and RC Lens.
As for Flamengo, they defeated fellow Brazilian Palmeiras (1-0) on November 29th and became the Copa Libertadores winners for the fourth time in their history. They have made their way to the final of the competition after defeating Mexican side Cruz Azul (2-1) and Egyptian team Pyramids (2-0). The club led by Filipe Luis will hope to take down the Champions League winners and lift another important trophy.
