Paris Saint-Germain lifted their first ever Champions League trophy after a dominant display against Inter Milan and a 5-0 victory. The Parisians were crowned after a fantastic campaign after eliminating consecutively Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal in the knockout stage to reach the final, their first appearance after the loss of 2020.
Earlier though, the French champions struggled to qualify after a rocky start in their journey but managed to scrape through and reach the play-off where they eased through Brest to face Liverpool in the Round of 16. Furthermore, many fans will also remember their extraordinary comeback victory against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City that proved pivotal for the rest of the competition.
After the final game of the competition, UEFA published the names of the players included in the XI of the Champions League, and without much surprise, a majority of PSG players feature in the prestigious list as seven out of the 11 stars are from the victorious side, with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé.
Each of the players included in the team, played a pivotal role for Paris Saint-Germain throughout the knockout stage while putting in splendid performances in the final of the competition
To determine who should feature in the list the UEFA Technical Observer Group who is providing the list said: "We've made this selection of players, particularly in the attack, to reflect the exceptional mobility which was such a feature of the victorious Paris Saint-Germain team's approach. The forward line selected represents this – a flexible team with attacking players who can interchange positions."

The France international ended the campaign with five goals and four assists across 16 games as he played a pivotal role in their journey to European glory.

Ousmane Dembélé is now heavy favourite to win the Ballon d'Or after winning the Champions League with PSG while playing a pivotal to lead his team to glory. The France international contributed for eight goals and six assists across 16 games in the victorious campaign and was deservedly named 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
