According to Bild and Sky Sports Germany, Paris Saint-Germain made an official contract offer to Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. Arsenal have also been linked to the German midfielder in recent weeks.

The 30-year-old contract's at Bayern Munich is expiring at the end of the season and negotiations between the player and Die Roten have stalled. The reasons behind these difficult negotiations is reportedly the duration of the contract proposed to the Germany international with the Bavarians offered a 3-year extension, when Kimmich expects a 4-year deal. Therefore, the player could leave the club and the Bundesliga and many clubs are interested in signing a player of this caliber on a free transfer.

Last week, Bayern Munich sporting director, Max Eberl withdrawn their contract offer for Joshua Kimmich, putting the midfielder's future at the club in jeopardy, however, the club seem inclined to reopening talks over a new offer.

Clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Arsenal and PSG monitored the situation and the North London club and Les Parisiens have opened talks with Kimmich, submitting an official contract offer for the player.

While Kimmich has not yet made a decision, the negotiations between the player and the Bavarians are not over and should resume in the following days. Furthermore, if the player was to leave Bundesliga, his favored option would be to join the French champions even though Arsenal remain in the race to sign him.
