The signing of the Ecuador international was the best of the season. His partnership with Marquinhos was one of the cornerstone that led Paris to success. His strengh, his pace and his ball-playing ability made him one of the best centre-backs in the world this season as he came out on top in almost all of his battles against some of Europe's finest strikers this season. He was also one of the most reliable player under Luis Enrique as he barely missed any games this season while maintaining the same level of performances throughout the campaign. Obviously, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Désiré Doué could have been given this awards due to their incredible performances, however, shining a light on a player that doesn't always get the recognition he deserves was the main focus.

5. Underrated Hero - Marquinhos

The Brazilian became this season the most capped player in PSG's history, as he won his tenth Ligue 1 title, a record in the competition. This player was often criticised in the past for his lack of leadership in difficult moments in the Champions League, however, this narrative completely changed this season. The 31-year-old showcased his leadership and his qualities in the hardest moments of PSG's European campaign as he hope to lift the first Champions League trophy of their history in two weeks.

6. Disappointment of the Season - Warren Zaire-Emery

This could be certainly harsh for Warren Zaire-Emery, this season has seen him wear the captain armband for PSG several times becoming one of the youngest to do so while showcasing his importance within the squad. However, an ankle injury cost him a lot as he lost his spot in the starting team for Fabian Ruiz. The incredible performances from the Spaniard relegated the France international to the bench, limiting his minutes and his influence on their results in the period. Though, his talent is undeniable, it was disappointing to see him struggle to get his place back in Luis Enrique's starting eleven.

7. Breakthrough Player - Senny Mayulu

A very bright talent just waiting to shine even more in the future for Paris.

8. Best Goal of the Season - Ousmane Dembélé vs Man City

It was certainly not the most beautiful goal this season, but undoubtedly the most important as it became a defining moment of PSG's season. Despite a fantastic first half against Pep Guardiola's Man City, Luis Enrique's side found themselves trailing by two goals at the half hour mark against the run of play. However, after a fantastic move from Barcola on his left wing, the France international delivered a superb cross towards Dembélé who fired the ball past Ederson to cut their deficit and start an incredible "remontada".
