During this summer transfer window, Xavi Simons' future has become a real saga for PSG. Eliminated from Euro 2024 this Wednesday in the semi-final (1-2) against England, the Dutchman's decisions and reflections are expected to progress soon.

After two successful loans at PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig, Parisian academy product Xavi Simons is now under contract with PSG until 2027. However, all media reports are unanimous: the player does not wish to return to Paris and honor his contract.

Consequently, suitors are knocking on the doors of PSG's management, looking for the right solution. The player himself, having been engaged with the Netherlands until yesterday for Euro 2024, seemed in no rush to make a decision or announcement: "My future? It doesn't stress me. I am currently with the national team. We will see about all that after the Euro," he said on June 25 after the third group match against Austria (3-2 defeat).

With the Euro now over, the situation might finally become clearer. This is at least what Fabrizio Romano claims, stating that Xavi Simons expressed his desire to leave PSG to the club's management two weeks ago. The Italian transfer specialist also highlights this Thursday as a key date, coinciding with when the Dutchman will focus on his next club.

Regarding his next destination, as mentioned in the press for several weeks, Bayern Munich emerges once again. According to Fabrizio Romano, through its sporting director Max Eberl, the Bavarian club is pushing hard in this matter, with RB Leipzig lurking in the background. Both Bundesliga clubs are working to secure a loan deal for Xavi Simons. The decision now rests with the player.
