PSG is still looking for a Kylian Mbappe replacement. Xavi Simons went on loan again to Leipzig and they had a bid rejected for Vinicius Junior and Lamine Yamal earlier this summer window.

Whilst signing Lamine Yamal was always extremely unlikely given his age. How well he had done at the Euros the French champions had more of a chance of signing Vinicius as it remains to be seen how he will fit in at Real Madrid with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. Here at PSG Post, we discuss why Les Parisians should have continued with their pursuit of the Brazilian international.

The attackers don't have Mbappe's output

Luis Enrique has adequate attackers at his disposal but none of them can put up the numbers that Mbappe did last season. Goncalo Ramos scored 11 goals and notched 2 assists in 29 Ligue 1 games, Bradley Barcola scored four goals and registered seven assists in 28 Ligue 1 games and Randal Kolo Muani scored six goals and got five assists in 26 League games. Someone will need to step up next campaign or PSG will find goals harder to come by.

Vinicius is world class

Vinicius was one of Real Madrid's best players last season. Last campaign he scored 24 goals and registered 11 assists in 39 games. It is scary to think that If he was fully fit the whole season his output would have been even better.

The Brazilian international is one of the favourites to win the Balon d'or alongside his teammate Jude Bellingham who had an outstanding first season at Real Madrid.
