Midfielders: Marco Verratti, Fabian Ruiz, Warren Zaire-Emery, Vitinha
Once more the strongest part of PSG's current roster, which speaks volumes of how ridiculously thin the squad is.
That's because outside of Marco Verratti and perhaps, maybe, just barely, Fabian Ruiz, any other option here is just making it to the XI on an absulte no-merit, just-cause-there-is-nobody-else-there basis.
Even then, Verratti and Ruiz have been all but great of late with very dispiriting outings and performing levels way below expectations. Lyon is going through a hella bad campaign, but you cannot ever underestimate a giant, so the midfield pairing might struggle to find their footing once more this weekend.
The other two places are surely up for grabs. Renato Sanches should finally be 100% fit, but you never know with the Portuguese, let alone how much fuel he has in him and how much time will take for him to get back to the shelves with another injury.
I'm leaning toward Vitinha and Zaire-Emery. The former had a better first than second half of the season, but as is the case with some players and Galtier he always seems to be one of the coach's favorite picks.
Slotting WZE in this XI makes for a weird fit because either he or Vitinha would play off position/role. Galtier won't have another favorite available with Carlos Soler missing this game, but the four-man defense will force him to use WZE/Vitinha in the 8-to-10, box-to-box role no matter what.
