Defenders: Nuno Mendes, Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos, Danilo, Achraf Hakimi

The defensive trio of Marquinhos, Danilo, and Sergio Ramos should start against Lens now that all are fit and available for consecutive games in a good while. Galtier will definitely be relieved knowing that's the case after the last couple of months when the squad was navigating weekly injuries to no end and hurting his game plans.

It is fair to put Danilo among the defensive pieces and not into the midfield as he's just where Galtier deploys him these days. He should be on a pivot/DM role instead, but the coach is stubborn enough to keep using him as a lateral-center-back in his five-man line so there's that.

The truth is that even though the play is dull as hell, it yielded results for PSG last weekend when facing Nice so there is no real need for Galtier to invent or make any sudden change. The 5-3-2 is here to stay, folks, so get ready for another boring snoozefest this weekend.

Nuno Mendes (left) and Achraf Hakimi (right) will be the starting wing-backs against Lens as they were against Nice. That will always be the case as long as they are available, as they are simply the best players on PSG's flanks.

El-Chadaille Bitshiabu and Juan Bernat should be available and they will be the only natural defenders on the bench after Timothee Pembele was forced to work alone on Friday and is questionable to play Saturday.

Nordi Mukiele joined Presnel Kimpembe on the shelves with a season-long injury announced earlier this week.
