Midfielders: Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz

With Marco Verratti missing a collective training session earlier this week and just a few days before the game, there is a chance he misses this Sunday's outing entirely if only for precautionary measures. If that's the case, the most logical move would be to slide Danilo up the pitch into a defensive midfield role while adding two more midfielders to play in front of him.

The PSG manager can explore multiple, different paths here, but the widely expected pick will probably be Fabian Ruiz. On top of that, and considering youngster Zaire-Emery will probably be forced into playing right wing-back, the other most prominent option to play alongside Ruiz is Vitinha.

Renato Sanches has played a bit of late off the pine, and he might start against the struggling Auxerre, but I don't see that really happening until PSG finally clinches the title. So it's going to be another weekend of coming off the bench for Sanches, most probably.

With the trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Hugo Ekitike expected to start in the forward line, Carlos Soler looks to be on the outside looking in with no room to use him at least on the predicted starting XI.
