Currently on loan to RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons is owned by PSG. There is a possibility that his loan, which does not include an option to buy, could be extended beyond the current season.

The Ligue 1 champion is closely monitoring the development of this young emerging star, an attacking midfielder who is comfortable playing in the opposition area.

According to Sky Sport, no written agreement has been formalized guaranteeing an extension of his stay in Germany. The management of this situation was carried out by Max Eberl, a manager who is no longer part of the Leipzig structure.

FC Barcelona and Manchester City also have Xavi Simons on their radar, while the Dutch international footballer will await the decision made by PSG regarding his future.

At the moment, Paris Saint-Germain has a vast offensive arsenal, with names including Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola and even the discarded Hugo Ekitike. This is without mentioning pieces like Kang-In Lee or Carlos Soler, who usually occupy a position in the attack.

That said, there is an expectation around what PSG can offer Simons, in terms of playing minutes. Previous reports indicated that the Dutchman would be part of the Parisian project for the long term starting with the 2024-2025 season.

We will see if the French board remains firm and is not seduced by potential financially attractive proposals from the best clubs on the continent.
