Carlos Soler, who joined PSG in the summer of 2022, has never managed to establish himself within the Parisian club. While he was rumored to be close to a return to Spain, he could ultimately end up joining West Ham.

In two years at PSG, Carlos Soler has played only 63 matches, scoring eight goals and providing six assists. Whether under Christophe Galtier or Luis Enrique, the Spanish international never succeeded in becoming an important player.

He didn’t feature in major matches in Ligue 1, the Champions League, or the Coupe de France. And when he did get on the field, he failed to make himself indispensable enough to change his coaches' minds. Still under contract until June 2027 with PSG, he is one of the players expected to leave the club before the end of the transfer window.

West Ham eyes Carlos Soler in late transfer swoop

In recent weeks, his name has been linked with Real Sociedad, who saw the PSG No. 28 as the perfect replacement for Mikel Merino, who is expected to join Arsenal. But the Spanish club is not the only one interested; West Ham is also keen to acquire Carlos Soler. According to Relevo, Julen Lopetegui, the Hammers' coach, has told the former Valencia captain that he plans to make him a key player in his team.

The player is eager to join the London club and is said to have already reached an agreement with them. Relevo reports that West Ham is looking to secure Carlos Soler on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. While there is no agreement between the two clubs yet, PSG and West Ham are both eager to finalize a deal.

The Premier League club appears to be the hottest prospect for Carlos Soler, though Saudi clubs are still hoping to lure him, Relevo concludes.
