Strasbourg vs. PSG - Grades: Forwards

5 - Mbappe: He failed to score against a bottom-six team... although he at least got the assist in Lionel Messi's record-breaking goal. Not bad in the bigger picture, but awful in his particular race to finish the season as the Ligue 1 top-goalscorer now with Alexandre Lacazette (27) only one goal behind him (28) in such leaderboard entering the final weekend of play.

Next. Lionel Messi scores 496th goal, most ever in Europe top leagues. Lionel Messi scores 496th goal, most ever in Europe top leagues. dark

5 - Messi: The goal saved his day but other than that magical moment he was a ghost on the pitch. He attempted a direct free-kick on the verge of halftime that didn't grace the goal and went wide to the left of the posts, and that was pretty much it. Another run deep into the second half showed promise, but it's not that Messi offered a lot of flashes to the last set of opposing supporters that would have ever watched him playing an away game in France. Back to the Parc next weekend to get cheered and jeered in equal parts.
