5 - Marquinhos

Marquinhos initially appeared nervous, perhaps unsettled by his return to a three-centre-back formation, a role he hadn’t played in months. Nonetheless, he surprised with a couple of early mistakes. However, he managed to regain his composure as the match progressed.

6 - William Pacho

Solid, but not quite enough. It was a neutral performance for the Ecuadorian, who has impressed with his strong start to the season. He understands Marquinhos well, but he may benefit more from playing in a system with just two centre-backs.

5 - Lucas Beraldo

Lucas Beraldo wasn’t particularly poor, but he also failed to stand out. He recorded two interceptions and one clearance, winning just one of three duels he contested and losing the ball five times. The Brazilian is clearly not at his best.
