On the first day of Ligue 1, Milan Skriniar spent the entire match against Le Havre on the bench. For this second matchday against Montpellier at Parc des Princes, the Slovakian defender will not be on the match sheet.

As part of its effort to trim the squad, PSG has identified several players to move on, including Nordi Mukiele, Juan Bernat, Manuel Ugarte, Ayman Kari, Danilo Pereira, Carlos Soler, and Milan Skriniar. The Slovakian defender, who joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent last summer, has not been able to make a strong impression in Paris.

As a result, the number 37 no longer seems to be in Luis Enrique's plans, and has been encouraged to find a new club before the summer 2024 transfer window closes: "The pressure is on with just a week left before the transfer window closes," reports Le Parisien. While some of these unwanted players are finalizing the details of their transfers, Milan Skriniar, at 29 years old, remains under contract until June 2028, with a salary that might be difficult to match at a potential new club.

The recent signings of Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho highlight what seems to be a recruitment mistake regarding the Slovakian. However, despite not establishing himself as indispensable at PSG, according to Le Parisien, "Juventus Turin and Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on the situation of the Slovakian national team captain."

Interest from Bayern Munich has been denied by the German press, specifically Florian Plettenberg. The Sky Sport journalist from Germany asserts that "the rumors about Bayern Munich and Milan Skriniar are far from accurate." Therefore, the PSG defender does not appear to be a topic of discussion among the Bavarian club's management.
