Sanny Mayulu's emergence: A glimpse into PSG's youth potential
By Manuel Meza
In the recent French Cup clash against US Revel, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder, Sanny Mayulu, earned valuable minutes on the field for Paris Saint-Germain's senior squad.
Amidst a resounding victory that allowed various lesser-played PSG members to shine, Mayulu's brief 20-minute appearance highlighted his potential as a midfielder capable of controlling the ball and orchestrating on the pitch.
Mayulu was fortunate to showcase his skills and connect with PSG's senior squad during the minutes provided by Luis Enrique. Despite having just 11 touches during the encounter, he managed an impressive 75% pass accuracy, completing 6 out of 8 passes, including 2 key passes that, unfortunately, didn't contribute to the scoreline.
The academy-bred midfielder aspires to secure a future within Paris Saint-Germain, edging closer to a spot in the senior squad, aiming to carve his niche within the roster and provide Luis Enrique with an enticing prospect at the age of 17.
Undoubtedly, PSG continues to nurture its youth talent pool brilliantly, as seen with the emergence of the promising talent Warren Zaïre-Emery.
