PSG followed their victory (1-2) against Angers last Friday on MD32 of Ligue 1 with a training session on Monday that included the return of two players to training that were kind of unexpected.

PSG enjoyed three days of rest before returning to training at Camp des Loges on Tuesday. With their sights set on MD33 and a game against Lorient at the Parc des Princes on Sunday, Christophe Galtier and his team were back on the training pitch preparing for their upcoming match.

The team welcomed the return of some key players in their training session on Tuesday. Nuno Mendes, who was not included in the squad for the Angers game due to fitness issues, was spotted in training and may be available for selection against Lorient.

Renato Sanches, another Portuguese player, also returned to training and showed promising signs although it feels too early in his recovery to see him play this weekend.

In other news, Presnel Kimpembe, who has been out with a season-ending injury, was seen working on his fitness indoors in two photos posted by the club on social media.

Kimpembe, of course, is not expected to return to competition until next fall, his presence at the training ground is a positive sign for the team.

Lionel Messi missed Tuesday's training session

Galtier did not meet Lionel Messi this Tuesday at Camp des Loges. While the resumption of training for the Parisians had been scheduled for Tuesday in advance, the Argentine striker will only return to Saint-Germain-en-Laye on Wednesday after spending a few days in Barcelona.

Hugo Ekitike, Renato Sanches, and Nuno Mendes were all seen training at Camp des Loges, but not the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner. Messi spent the weekend with his wife in Barcelona meeting some of his former teammates from FCB.

However, this slightly delayed recovery should not affect the South American's participation in PSG's next match against Lorient on Sunday.
