After completing a training session at the Camp des Loges on Monday afternoon and before their trip to Munich ahead of schedule to avoid issues with the ongoing transport strikes taking part in France, PSG announced their official matchday squad for the second-leg Champions League matchup against Bayern Munich.

Paris Saint-Germain traveled to Germany one day before they would have normally done, onboarding a plane on Monday instead of Tuesday. They arrived in Munich in the evening and already slept in their booked hotel in the German city.

PSG also released the official list of players picked by coach Christophe Galtier for their crucial matchup against Bayern Munich on the road after losing the first-leg game 0-1 at the Parc des Princes three weeks ago.

The list includes a few interesting nuggets, although nothing quite remarkable considering how shallow the pool of players available at Paris Saint-Germain is this season.

Galtier called up three goalkeepers including Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Rico, and Alexandre Letellier. That alone tells you all you need to know about the precarious status of the Parisian bench, which is one of the main concerns entering the game against Bayern on Wednesday.

Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, and Nordi Mukiele make the list; Renato Sanches returns to a gameday squad

While there was doubt about the presence of Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, and Nordi Mukiele, the three players were included in the list released by PSG.

Marquinhos and Hakimi trained on Monday afternoon while Mukiele didn't (calf and Achilles tendon issues) although he seems to be fit enough to make the final cut. Marco Verratti missed last weekend's game against Nantes going through a one-game suspension in domestic play, but he's back with the group and will start in midfield.

Hit in the hamstrings against Toulouse on Feb. 4, Renato Sanches resumed collective training on Monday and he is also in the group, although it is hard to see him having any chance of playing on Wednesday. This is also the case for Ismael Gharbi, who was injured with the PSG U19 team this weekend but still made the list considering the few alternatives available for Galtier and the need for some warm bodies just in case.
