Real Sociedad's extensive injury list ten days before facing PSG

The next opponent for PSG in the Champions League, Real Sociedad, has not been immune to injuries in recent weeks. Affected this weekend, Oyarzabal and Odriozola would have already recovered.

In ten days, PSG welcomes Real Sociedad to Parc des Princes in the Champions League Round of 16. Before facing the Rouge & Bleu, the Spanish club has seen several players get injured.

During their draw against Girona in LaLiga, the Basque team lost three players to injuries again. Mikel Oyarzabal, Alvaro Odriozola, affected in the knee, and Sheraldo Becker, who had hamstring problems, did not complete the match against the second-placed team in the Spanish League.

Oyarzabal and Odriozola fit for the match against Mallorca

On Tuesday, Real Sociedad faces Mallorca in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final. Mikel Oyarzabal and Alvaro Odriozola will be present in the squad, as indicated by L'Équipe. This will not be the case for Sheraldo Becker.

Takefusa Kubo, eliminated from the Asian Cup with Japan on Saturday, is also listed in Imanol Barrenetxea's group. Hamari Traoré, also eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations with Mali on Saturday, has not yet returned to Spain.

For this match against Mallorca, Real Sociedad will, in any case, have to deal with a long list of injured players. Carlos Fernández, Aihen Muñoz (knee), Kieran Tierney (thigh), and Aritz Elustondo (foot), "and the various discomforts affecting Mikel Merino, Robin Le Normand, Arsen Zakharyan, and Urko Gonzalez de Zarate."

Despite the injury concerns, Real Sociedad is gearing up for a challenging encounter against Mallorca in the Copa del Rey.
