Rabiot rejects PSG, no homecoming in sight
PSG recruited Joao Neves and Desire Doue for their midfield and could have taken the opportunity to sign Adrien Rabiot, who was out of contract. However, all reports suggest otherwise.
With less than two weeks left before the 2024 summer transfer window closes, Adrien Rabiot remains a free agent after his time with Juventus. The French international, and former PSG academy player, could be a valuable asset to many European clubs. PSG? It seems unlikely.
The case of the 29-year-old has sparked significant debate among Paris Saint-Germain fans and followers, with his return to Paris often being the subject of much speculation.
During a press conference at Euro 2024, Adrien Rabiot addressed this speculation: "Since I left for Juve, every summer my name is linked with PSG. It's very flattering on the one hand. But it's still complicated, knowing how things ended. Of course, in football, you should never close any doors, but it won't be my priority."
On Wednesday, August 21, L'Equipe reported that the French international midfielder never considered a return to PSG and always rejected the idea. On the other hand, Josue Casse, a journalist for Foot Mercato, confirmed that no discussions have taken place between Adrien Rabiot and PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain never hoped for the return of the player they developed from 2010 to 2012, before including him in their professional ranks from 2012 to 2019. A disinterest that appears to be mutual.
