PSG working on organizing a Tribute Game for Marco Verratti

PSG are on the verge of bidding farewell to one of its legendary figures. After an impressive 11-year tenure at the club, Marco Verratti is set to make his move to the Qatari club Al-Arabi in the coming hours.

The decision to exclude the 30-year-old Italian from the Champions League squad and his absence from Luis Enrique's squad in the first four Ligue 1 matches has led him to seek an exit.

However, it's only fitting that the 2021 European champion receives a proper send-off, considering his association with the Parisian club dating back to the summer of 2012.

In recognition of Verratti's contribution, PSG are actively planning a tribute to him, as reported by Le Parisien and journalist Abdellah Boulma.

Verratti, who is the second-most capped player in the history of the Rouge & Bleu with 411 appearances, is just a few matches shy of Jean-Marc Pilorget's absolute record of 435. While the exact details and date of this tribute are yet to be confirmed, it is "evident," according to an insider close to the club, that the club "will honor its longest-serving player in some manner."

Even though Verratti won't have the chance to play one last match in PSG colors, he will soon return to the Parc des Princes to receive some flowers from the stands after more than a decade at the club.
