Having already waved goodbye to Lionel Messi, PSG won't be willing to sell both of the other two members of the former MNM Trifecta this summer. That means that at least one of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will stay in Paris, according to the latest information revealed by L'Equipe.

PSG are still awaiting for Mbappe to make a final decision about his future (extending his deal at PSG beyond 2024) before making any further decisions regarding his future and that of Paris Saint-Germain as a whole.

The club is considering whether to extend his contract or sell him during the summer transfer window, and depending on what they do on that front they might try to dump Neymar or not. If Mbappe decides not to extend his deal beyond next year, then PSG are expected to retain Neymar. If Mbappe is in Paris to stay, though, Neymar might be on his way out of the French capital.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, has informed Mbappe's mother and main representative, Fayza Lamari, that they have to make a final decision soon (no later than July 31) in order for the club to plan and act properly this summer.

The Qatari owners of PSG were "keen to retain the MNM trio," and therefore Neymar is expected to stay, potentially even strengthening his influence within the team if Mbappe departs after the confirmed exit of Messi earlier this year.

Neymar himself seems less inclined to leave now, as it's believed that the appointment of Luis Enrique as the head coach of PSG has him excited about his future in the capital. It's worth noting that Enrique and Neymar shared time together when the former was the manager of Barcelona at the peak of Neymar's career a few years ago and before the Brazil international joined PSG in 2017.

However, a source close to PSG told L'Equipe that "this alone may not guarantee Neymar a prominent position." Even then, the forward is reportedly motivated and ambitious, and he is preparing for the upcoming season, including participating in the team's tour in Japan following the recovery from the season-ending ankle injury he suffered last February.
