Contrary to what he usually suggests, Luis Enrique has decided to adapt the week's training schedule to the national team break, with sessions especially in the afternoon to have more players.

While the international break is in full swing with the national team's second match taking place this Sunday, PSG will resume training this Monday after a three-day break.

As usually happens after one or more days of rest, only this Monday afternoon will the few Parisian players not affected by the international break meet at the Campus PSG to begin preparations for PSG vs. OGC Nice which will take place on Friday.

But the Parisian coaching staff has also changed its habits to adapt to the international break. Although training usually takes place at 10:30 a.m., all next week's sessions have been moved to 5:00 p.m.

The current climate in Paris/Poissy is possibly one of the reasons, but these afternoon sessions also allow players returning from national teams, often in the evening, to resume their activities more quickly.

A player who arrives at night cannot be available at 10:30 a.m., the usual training time, but it is much more likely if they move the session to 5:00 p.m. Another consequence is that Luis Enrique's press conference will take place on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. instead of 1:00 p.m. as usual.

The week's program:

  • Monday, September 11, 2023 – Campus PSG: 5:00 p.m: Closed-door training
  • Tuesday, September 12, 2023 – Campus PSG: 5:00 p.m: Closed-door training
  • Wednesday, September 13, 2023 – Campus PSG: 5:00 p.m: Closed-door training
  • Thursday, September 14, 2023 – Campus PSG: 5:00 p.m: first 15 minutes of training open to the media
  • Friday, September 15, 2023 – Parc des Princes: 9:00 p.m: PSG vs. OGC Nice, Ligue 1 MD5
