PSG wants to become the Ligue 1 champion before the Champions League semi-finals

PSG is on track to become Ligue 1 champions

For PSG, the Ligue 1 title is practically secured, with only 6 matchdays left for the Parisians, as they have played 28 games to date, with two matches postponed thanks to the LFP providing them with extra rest for the Champions League.

Journalist Loïc Tanzi asserts that PSG wants to secure the Ligue 1 conquest as soon as possible, aimed at becoming champions before the first leg match against Dortmund, to fully concentrate on the Champions League and potentially win the top European club competition for the first time.

The Parisian feat does not depend solely on them

However, to achieve this, it will also depend on external results, which indicates that their pursuers, Brest and Monaco, must suffer defeats or draws that distance them further from the top of the table. Therefore, PSG must also fulfill its task and secure three points in the upcoming matches it will play in Ligue 1, thus enabling it to clinch the championship once again in this French tournament.

Before reaching the first leg match vs Dortmund, PSG will have to face Olympique de Lyon (April 21) and Le Havre (April 27), where in just 2 matches, it will be seen if the Parisians can achieve the feat of being crowned champions before their UCL matches on May 1st.
