PSG vs St Etienne: preview & predictions

After a disappointing game against Lyon last week, Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to turn things around on Friday evening as they meet AS Saint-Etienne next.

PSG have started the D1Arkema league on fifth place with three points, as Paris FC and Lyon take first and second spot. So, getting a win over 12th in the league St-Etienne, is a must-win situation.

Despite a simple 3-0 win over Bordeaux, expectedly, Lyon were a different story. And though the Parisannes suffered a 1-0 defeat, they did show improvement in performance.

For St-Etienne, a 1-1 draw with Montpellier and a 2-0 loss to Reims, puts them last in the League going into this matchup.

During the last two encounters between these sides, PSG came out triumphant in both; in 2021, winning 2-0, and then in 2022, getting a big 5-0 victory.
